Monument Valley Health Clinic
Monument Valley, Utah
The Monument Valley Health Clinic provides medical, pharmaceutical and dental facilities in a very remote area of Utah. Although the clinic is available to anyone, the overwhelming majority of people taking advantage of the clinic facilities will be the Navajo and as such, the facility design reflects the culture of the Navajo, yet is functional to allow future use as a hospital if required without major remodeling of the entire building.
Solutions to overcome the remote location include its innovative IT communications and ground source heat pump system for heating and cooling as natural gas is not available to the area.

As the CEO of San Juan Health Systems, I have been involved with the hospitals architecture since the beginning and found Eaton Architecture to be a highly qualified and professional firm to work with. They have met with us and listened to what our staff needed. They are personally engaged in our expansion, with focused attention to key decisions and successful outcome. They are flexible, and have worked well with the various doctors and staff members in the predesign phase. The exam rooms were exactly what the Doctors prescribed. The Eaton team were responsive to changes that arose as the design developed and took into account many existing facility and functional considerations. They have been cost conscience with regard to our budget and their cost estimates kept within our range. We were pleasantly surprised to see the contractor bids were right on the with their initial and final cost estimates provided during the design phase.
We highly recommend Eaton Architecture for your next project.
Sincerely,
San Juan Hospital
