We have teamed with Eaton on many projects over the past 15 years with our primary focus on military work at Hill AFB and Dugway Proving Ground. As our team designer, Eaton has previously completed a $3.5 million project for Storage of Explosive Aircraft Components and a $4.2 million project for Aircraft Battle Damage Repair, both located at Hill AFB. They have also completed the design for an $8 million Munitions Maintenance Facility and we are beginning the design of a new Child Development Facility in which Eaton will serve in a key design position. Eaton also was our team designer for a design build modernization of a civilian dining facility at Dugway Proving Ground. They have proven their capabilities on larger stand-alone projects with the Corps of Engineers and Hill AFB.
We are also involved in the on-going Hill AFB Multiple Award Design-Build Construction Contract. Under this program, and for a period of up to 5 years, we receive Task Orders for the design-build of smaller projects, ranging from $20,000 to $3 million. All of these projects are of the remodel, maintenance, or repair variety. For this program, Eaton is our team design partner. We have successfully completed a number of these Task Orders and several additional Tasks are underway.
Eaton is a highly qualified firm and they bring many outstanding qualities to the program. They are personally engaged in all of the projects, with focused attention to key decisions. They have consistently met design milestones, delivering high quality design documents on time. They are flexible, and have worked well with the various owners, contractors, and subcontractor members. They are responsive to changes that may arise as the design develops. They have supported the construction phase with site visits and revised designs to meet changing circumstances. We have found their fee structure to be highly competitive and we have not experienced design cost growth beyond our initial agreements. They have successfully performed their design role on a wide variety of projects including and aircraft hanger, storage, training, dining, maintenance, and administrative facilities. They are very successful in the management of sub-consultants such as electrical, structural, and civil engineering firms.
We highly recommend the firm of Eaton Architecture for selection of large individual projects or smaller task order contracts.
Please contact me if you wish to discuss the performance of Eaton Architecture on any of our past projects.
Sincerely,
HHI Corporation
